Artwork and files in the editor
Images and fonts you upload are processed in your browser. Scene settings are saved in your browser's local storage; uploaded images and fonts can be saved in its IndexedDB so you can resume work after reloading. PNG, MP4 and GIF exports are generated in your browser. The site does not intentionally upload these files or exported media to its server. You can use the editor's New action to clear its saved scene and uploaded files, or clear this site's storage in your browser settings. A file you have downloaded must be deleted from your device separately.
Technical data and outside services
On the deployed editor, we send page readiness, export success or failure, performance and error reports to our /api/log endpoint. Reports can include a random identifier for that page visit, page path, browser and device details, approximate country, export format and dimensions, whether the exported artwork came from your upload, the record library or the built-in sample, and error messages or stack traces. We use them to find broken features and understand whether exports work. Error text may contain technical URLs. Diagnostic records are stored in Cloudflare Workers Analytics Engine; Cloudflare currently documents a three-month retention period. We do not intentionally include uploaded artwork or exported files in these reports.
The production site may also use Cloudflare Web Analytics for aggregate traffic measurement. Cloudflare describes that service as cookie-free. Hosting and analytics providers necessarily receive technical request information when your browser connects to them. The editor loads code from jsDelivr, and every page on the site loads fonts from Google Fonts. If you use the record-library search, your browser contacts MusicBrainz and Cover Art Archive directly; those services receive the requests needed to show search results and artwork. Their own privacy notices apply. Following an external link or emailing us also involves that external service.
We use no account system or contact form on this site. If you email us, we receive your address and the information you send, and use it to answer or investigate your request. To ask about your data or request deletion of information we can identify, email the address above. The random diagnostic visit identifier is not tied to an account, so we may be unable to locate an individual report without details such as its date and browser.
Copyright and public use
The record-library images are shown for preview. MusicBrainz and Cover Art Archive access does not grant you a licence to republish a cover. Before posting or selling a mockup, make sure you have the necessary rights to its cover art, photographs, logos, fonts and any identifiable person's image. A mockup used to sell a real record should accurately show the confirmed pressing and packaging details. Built-in examples on this site are illustrative designs, not official releases.
If you believe material displayed by Record Mockup infringes your rights, email [email protected] with the page URL, the material at issue, an explanation of your rights and a way to reach you. We will review the report and remove or correct material where appropriate. Artwork a visitor uses only in their own browser is not published by Record Mockup.
